Inspired by the Tulip I love the Child's Pose stretch in Yoga. It feels peaceful to me. This resting pose is meant to calm and renew me. The symbolism behind the yellow Tulip conveys happy and positive thoughts. A gift of a yellow tulip says "there's sunshine in your smile."

"Tulip Pose" is a sculpture of a female figure in a child's pose yoga position. The figure is lying on her front, with her arm stretched forward and the head turned to rest cheek-down, suggesting a state of rest. The figure's contours resemble the bulb of a tulip. The sculpture has a polished surface that reflects the light, which enhances the sensation of roundness and softness of the figure. It employs a warm, gradient color palette, transitioning from a darker tone around the hair and the edges of the body to lighter hues at the higher points of the form, like the back and shoulders, creating a sense of depth and volume. The base of the figure merges into a flat, dark platform which serves to ground the sculpture and contrast the warm, organic tones of the human form.
