"Making wishes is an early memory. I sent my deepest desires into the Universe on puffs of dandelion seeds, pennies in a fountain, candles on a cake, and stars in the night sky. Sometimes the wishes came true, sometimes they didn’t. The magic was in the hope. Eventually I learned the opposite: that magic isn’t real. But it depends on our definition of magic, doesn’t it? Wishes become intentions. We have the knowledge, freedom, and resolve to take action. The magic remains in the hope, but it is also in the purposeful manifestation. No matter how old we are, I do think there is a place for the ritual of wish-making. It keeps us open to healthy change and prevents our wishes from falling off the magic radar. What’s next on your wishlist?" Elisabeth Ladwig
"The Wishing Tree" features a winter scene with a leafless tree standing in a snowy landscape. Colorful leaves hang on to the branches, adding vibrant accents against the starkness of the tree. A woman in a long dress stands beside the tree, reaching up towards one of the branches. Nearby, a small rabbit sits in the snow. The background is a blend of soft blues and whites, depicting a serene winter sky with snowflakes gently descending. The overall composition conveys a sense of tranquility and whimsy.
