I recently worked out a collaboration arrangement with my friend, professional photographer Archie Tucker, to interpret his photo “All Arms” as an oil painting. My idea was to show the possibility of creating a painting from someone else’s photograph. Many elements of the painting are inspired by the photo, but they each have their own distinctive personalities. –John Horejs
