Often the things of life become a part of my art in some manner. This sculpture came out of a dream about water where I found myself floating down a river peacefully and effortlessly. In reading about dream imagery, I learn that water often has to do with change. The changes in my life include a job change, selling a home and making a move. A part of my history is closing behind me. What I find most interesting is that I'm OK with all of this change. I'm not fearful or sorry to see it go. It seems right and I'm just going to "go with the flow."
