"Be Still #29" is a mixed media piece that incorporates various layers and textures. At the center, there is a rectangular border. Inside this border, there are two primary objects: a shell with banding in shades of yellow and brown and a black and white striped feather lying parallel to the shell. The background within the border comprises a map with grid lines, which are obscured and overlaid with a thin, translucent layer that softens the details. The feather and shell are depicted with realistic detail, and their natural patterns provide a contrast to the geometric and mapped background. The outer area of the border includes rough, earthy textures, and the color palette is subdued, utilizing creams, tans, and hints of pale blue. To the lower left corner outside of the frame, there is a small, leaf form in green, adding a touch of organic shape and color to the composition. The overall effect of the piece is one that acts as an intersection of the natural world and the human world.
