"All of our children have done the baseball thing and it has been an awesome part of our family, as most team sports have been. I’ve seen our guys develop discipline and learn the value of working and playing with others. At a tournament I saw one of the funniest, but truest personalized license plates I’ve ever seen. It was on a Suburban (I call Suburbans Utah’s 'state vehicle') and it simply read: TOAGAME! Sometimes the games can be pretty long and boring, and other times they’re really intense and exciting. At no time have I ever regretted going to them. It was totally worth it having our kids, long after the season is over, come up to their mom and I to give us a hug and tell us how much it meant to them that we were there at all of their games." "Bases Loaded" depicts a youthful baseball player in mid-swing, preparing to hit a ball. The figure is wearing a baseball cap, a uniform, and cleats The pose captures a moment of concentration and athletic tension, with the bat held high over the shoulder. The sculpture is rendered in a realistic style, with a focus on details such as the creases in the uniform, the laces on the shoes, and the expression of focus on the player's face. The sculpture pays an overall fond tribute to the beloved game of baseball.
