Santana Star, an artist of international origin and universally resonant vision, has traversed a rich tapestry of cultural landscapes, enriching her creative journey. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, and nurtured on the Canadian East Coast, Santana's artistic path was illuminated in the transformative summer of 1969 when she encountered the influential British Canadian artist Hilda Woolnough Gool. Under Hilda's mentorship, Santana honed her skills in life drawing, painting, and art history at the University of Prince Edward Island, embarking on a lifelong pursuit of artistic excellence.

Her academic journey continued at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, where she laid a strong foundation in ceramics and diverse artistic disciplines. At the age of 21, Santana ventured to London, England, where she immersed herself in the vibrant art scene, focusing primarily on ceramics while raising a family of four. After more than two decades in England, Santana made a pivotal move to Aptos, California, where she delved into various mediums, including mandala painting and watercolors, ultimately discovering a profound affinity for oil painting on canvas.

Santana's work is characterized by a distinctive blend of impressionism, expressionism, and magic realism, capturing the essence of nature's beauty through landscapes, seascapes, and floral compositions. Influenced by the serene landscapes of California and her diverse educational background, her paintings evoke a sense of tranquility and wonder. Her artistic endeavors are guided by a passion for creating visually stunning works that inspire and uplift viewers.

While Santana has yet to showcase her work in exhibitions or receive formal accolades, her commitment to mastering her craft remains undeterred.
