Title: Rose Window in White & Blue
Medium: Steel & Glass
Dimensions: 12"h x 14"w

There are few architectural details as well known or steeped with the historical significance of rose windows, found in Gothic cathedrals and many synagogues throughout the world. The windows are divided into segments by stone mullions and tracery, usually in a highly complex design. The windows invite us to look through the darkness into the light. Modeled after those windows, my ROSE WINDOW sculptures bring history and grace into your home in a contemporary work. ROSE WINDOW in White & Blue is 8 layers of powder coated steel plus one layer of vivid blue art glass. The base has a bronze powder coated finish. The sculpture pivots to gather natural or artificial light, and reveals a unique but related pattern of glass and steel on the reverse side, highlighting the key pattern in steel, offset with more blue.
