About Howard S. Dinet
Howard S. Dinet, based in Mesa, Arizona, is an artist whose career spans the disciplines of architectural illustration and fine art painting. With an educational foundation in Architectural Technology and a career that began in the intricate world of architectural illustration, Dinet has cultivated a keen eye for detail and spatial visualization. He founded his own architectural illustration firm in 1981, where for fourteen years in upstate New York, he created detailed sketches and renderings, employing both traditional methods and innovative computer-generated animations to bring architectural designs to life. His work was instrumental in helping developers and architects visualize their projects in dynamic and engaging ways.
Beyond his professional endeavors in architecture, Dinet also shared his expertise as an adjunct professor at Syracuse University’s Department of Design. There, he taught courses on perspective drawing, design fundamentals, and pen and ink rendering, as well as color theory and painting techniques. His role as an educator not only enriched his own practice but also equipped his students with a comprehensive understanding of artistic principles, fostering a new generation of designers and artists.
In the mid-1990s, Dinet transitioned from architectural illustration to the burgeoning field of multimedia, driven by both economic conditions and a desire to explore new creative avenues. This career pivot led him to work with prestigious clients such as National Geographic, providing multimedia services and gaining international experience. Throughout this period, Dinet remained dedicated to his passion for painting, exploring abstract and figurative forms. His abstract work, reminiscent of Jackson Pollock, captures a sense of movement and energy through the use of acrylics, while his realistic wildlife paintings, rendered in oils, exhibit a cinematic approach, capturing the vibrant essence of nature and animals.
Today, Howard S. Dinet continues to push the boundaries of his artistic expression, oscillating between abstract and realistic wildlife painting. His work, showcased in numerous exhibitions across the United States, reflects a lifelong commitment to artistic exploration and excellence. As both an artist and art collector, Dinet maintains a deep passion for creativity, constantly seeking new ways to articulate movement and emotion on canvas. With long-term goals of expanding his collector base and further establishing his brand, Dinet remains a dynamic force in the art world, dedicated to the perpetual journey of discovery and creation.
