"'Walk with Me' was created to raise awareness for Fibromyalgia in light of my participation in the Caterpillar Walk in NYC on May 9, 2015. Fibromyalgia manifests primarily as widespread chronic pain, but can also be accompanied by numerous other symptoms, including joint stiffness and pain from pressure. Making this invisible, hindering condition more freely visible to the world is reflected in the metamorphosis of the butterfly. 20% of artist's cut will be donated in perpetuity to the National Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Association. To maximize funds raised for the cause, 'Walk with Me' is an open edition." Elisabeth Ladwig
"Walk With Me" presents a dreamlike scene featuring a young female figure in a vibrant reddish pink dress walking away from a pair of worn suitcases. Her hair is long and loose, and she seems caught in the moment. The atmosphere of the piece is enchanted; the choice of earthy tones and the soft focus contribute to the ethereal quality. Adding to the whimsy are several butterflies fluttering around her, with some close to her and others towards the upper part of the composition. The image evokes a sense of solitude yet connects the subject with the surrounding nature.
