"It’s the first snowfall. Billions of crystals are floating, dancing, gusting. Some of us gasp with delight; others shrink with dread. In either case, we seldom look closely enough to know their magic. Snowflakes have the same roots, the same DNA, each holding a speck of dust at its core, yet they couldn’t be more different. We might call some more beautiful than others; but through no fault of their own, some crystals do not descend along a path that allows them to achieve the lacy intricacy of a six-pointed star. Some may develop into prisms, needles, or hexagonal plates. As we examine the flakes on the sleeve of our Winter coats, it would never occur to us to decide that some are less important than others. Each design tells the story of its unique journey. Each is worthy of appreciation, and each is equally magical." Elisabeth Ladwig
"Look Up" showcases a scene with a female figure and three deer in a wintry landscape. The woman stands with her back to the viewer, arms raised towards the sky, her long, flowing hair cascading down her back. She wears a deep blue dress. Around her, a trio of deer stand attentively. Soft snowflakes fall through the air, adding a magical quality to the setting. The overall effect is one of wonder and connection with nature.
