"You know, Winter gets a bad rap sometimes. The shoveling, the frigid temperatures, and especially the lack of sunlight can have a very real effect on one's quotidian state of mind. For many, Winter brings lethargy ~ and it is, in fact, a time of rest. That's what the Earth is doing, after all. But the stillness of Winter doesn't have to translate into utter stagnation. On the contrary, Winter provides a peaceful setting for personal reflection and for getting clear on what new and exciting changes we might want to create in our lives. As the Sun slowly increases, it is a prefect time to call in these shifts. We may not know yet *how* we'll arrive at a certain end, and that's ok; all we need to know is the first step, then the next, and the next... Eventually, our aligned actions flow together like a dance ~ and the Universe responds in kind." Elizabeth Ladwig
"Invocation" depicts an ethereal scene featuring a woman in a flowing red dress caught in what appears to be a dance movement. The dress spreads out around her, showing motion, and the fabric is rich and textured. The woman's posture is one of release, with one arm gracefully arched overhead and her head tilted back, her face not fully visible. Her hair flows freely, enhancing the sense of movement. The color palette is muted with sepia and grey tones dominating the background, giving a timeless quality. The environment around the figure looks to be a dreamy landscape where her form merges with a light fog and snow. The overall effect is one of a serene, almost otherworldly dance captured in a single, still moment.
