Carrie Palmore, an emerging artist based in Surprise, Arizona, has cultivated a unique voice in the world of abstract realism, with her works predominantly featuring animals and wildlife. Raised in the serene landscapes of rural southern Oregon, Carrie spent much of her life in the picturesque Pacific Northwest, where her appreciation for nature first took root. Her journey to art was not traditional; it was a transformative pivot from a successful 15-year tenure at Intel and nearly two decades in the real estate industry. It was during this period she serendipitously discovered her passion for art, beginning with a simple set of colored pencils and a sketchbook from a local craft store.

Carrie's artistic path has been marked by continuous evolution and experimentation. What started with colored pencils soon transitioned to acrylics and eventually to oil painting, where she found her true calling. Her enrollment in the Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute in 2024 was a pivotal moment, allowing her to refine her craft and develop a distinctive mixed-media approach that combines the fluidity of acrylics with the rich textures of oil paints. Her canvases, often alive with depictions of animals and birds, capture the essence of her subjects with a vivid realism that speaks to her deep connection with the natural world.

Now retired and fully immersed in her art, Carrie enjoys a fulfilling life with her husband, Rick, in sunny Arizona. Her daily routine reflects her zest for life and creativity, beginning with invigorating games of pickleball and culminating in afternoons spent in her art studio. A breast cancer survivor and proud grandmother, Carrie draws inspiration from her family, especially her two daughters and four grandchildren, who continue to breathe life into her work.

Despite not yet having exhibited in galleries, Carrie’s aspirations are set high. She dreams of showcasing her work across multiple states and participating in art fairs, further sharing her vibrant interpretations of wildlife with a broader audience. Driven by her love for animals and her unwavering spirit as a lifelong learner, Carrie's art is a testament to her journey—an inspiring blend of resilience, discovery, and boundless creativity.
