Ana Maria Botero

About Ana Maria Botero

“My art is an emotional response to the beauty and harmony of nature, to the relationships of forms; it is an observation of the empty space that transcends form and finds equilibrium.

I oscillate between abstraction and representation, working intuitively and spontaneously.

My background as an architect and my origins influence my art.

Memories of place, cultural traditions and architectural elements, work together in an organic way to generate mystery and bring joy."

Ana Maria Botero is a contemporary artist; she was born in Bogota, Colombia. In 1990, she received a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota where she lived and worked for several years.

In 2001, Ana Maria and her family moved to Florida where she worked for Vigneault and Hoos Architecture Inc. until 2005 when she moved again to the state of Colorado.  It was at this moment she decided to devote herself to art.

Ana Maria Botero’s work is in several private and corporate collections in the USA and other countries.
